We work across the town from the granite cottages around the parish church to the newer bungalows out at Heathfield. Bovey Tracey's older centre is dominated by Devon-stone cottages and slate-roofed terraces — the kind where doors haven't sat square for a hundred years and the floor slopes noticeably in every room. Out at Heathfield and along the A38 corridor, the property is mostly modern bungalows and family homes built in the last 50 years. We handle both sides of the town. Period work means careful door rehanging, alcove storage built around uneven walls, and matched-profile skirting. Modern work is standard kitchen installs, fitted wardrobes and the usual carpentry repairs.

About 25 minutes from our Paignton workshop. We can usually visit for a quote within 24-48 hours.

Can you work on Devon-stone or thatched cottages in the area?
Yes — we do plenty of work on older stone-built properties around Bovey, Lustleigh and the Dartmoor villages. We don't do thatching ourselves but we work alongside the cottage's existing materials.

Do you do small repair jobs or only big projects?
Both. A single sticking door, a wonky shelf, a dropped hinge — happy to come out. No minimum charge.

Yes — narrow lanes, no parking, single-track roads are part of the job out this way. We bring what we need, find a sensible spot to park, and don't make a fuss about it.
